"Take the sourest lemon life has to offer and

turn it into something resembling lemonade"

It’s been a really excting week for me. I looked over at Leo on Tuesday and told him for once, in a long time, a really long time, I finally feel like I’m getting some sort of control back of my life.

I think I finally went to see the right doctor to get the fluid in my ear fixed. That appointment was horrific for me. Not only was I in Ohio- the place where I think Blue was last alive in my belly- but I was right across the street from the place I wrecked my car- having the same procedures repeated that I had the week that I know I lost him… Everything about Monday this weeks was terrifying. I was in that office from 12:45 until 5:15 until I saw the doctor. I almost walked out. He prescribed me some medication and I swear it’s worked. So I was correct on Tuesday when I was talking about control.

Thursday. On my way back from NKU back up to school, very fast to get my laptop, I am stopped in the middle of a head on collision on my road. Just my luck. Being late for school means going from an A to a B. BUT just their luck- it’s NOT me to just drive away. I stop … and bend down to talk to the people- two hanging upside-down for over an hour… I am stabilizing the woman who was thrown from the vehicle neck for over 45 minutes .. talking to her.. telling her she is ok.. that she is still pretty (she kept asking me)… I rush to school…. Getting there before the 7 o’clock mark.

Friday. In HIV training for work up at NKU with some really awesome ladies learning how to use our nursing skills to educate patients about test results, make better choices, and really to help make less risky behaviors. I get an e-mail from Nick Elbisser from Zip Zoo Apparel that is the end of a long chain of back and forth emails where the subject line reads “Leo Shirts”

It just meant the world to me that someone was on board. Someone was hearing me. Someone was moving forward with me on my first project with Blue with me. And there, in the middle of HIV training I melted. Blue’s shirts. I was so so happy.

Later on that evening Leo and I went out for dinner and I showed him the design. I asked him if he wanted to change anything. Leo looked at it and he said “No, nothing. I really like it”…Ok so daddy leo says go we go.. BUT we might put the date on there somewhere.

So I’m going to show you guys and I want you to tell me what you think. I think they are SAWEET! And I just think Nick did an awesome job and I want to thank Mr. Justin Hite for helping me find him.

So here is the design like it?
